Week Commencing
Visiting preachers
Over the next couple of months, we will be welcoming two visiting preachers at St Anne's. On Sunday 9th June, the Revd Dr Steve Summers will be preaching at the 10am service. Steve is the Course Principal for the Local Ministry Programme for Guildford Diocese (LMP). This trains Licensed Lay Ministers (LLM Readers) and Ordained Local Ministers (OLMs) for service in parishes on a three year part-time course. Before becoming principal in 2009, Steve spent nine years as the rector of St Andrew's Church, Farlingham, Diocese of Portsmouth.
On Sunday 28th July, the Revd Mark Heather will be preaching at the 10am service. He is the Bishop of Guildford's Domestic Chaplain, a post he took up in 2010. Before that, Mark spent seven years as the vicar of St Mark's, Halton in Leeds.
St Anne’s Fête - 20th July
We are appealing for photos of events connected with St Anne’s over the years. to create a storyboard of events.
Please would you have a look and see what memories you have got lurking in the recesses of your cupboards. Maybe you even have photos of Fêtes from previous years when we were all much younger!!!
Offers to run a stall or help generally will be gratefully received and should be directed to Sue Hunt and Pat Stone.
Please note the change of date!!!
Favourite Hymn?
Do you have a favouritr hymn? Shortly a box will appear at the back of church to receive your hymn requests. Where and when possible we will do our best to include them in a service.
