New Rural Dean

The commissioning service for Bob Peck as the new Rural Dean? Service will be Wednesday 7th Dec, at St Martin's, Old Dean and will start at 8:00pm.

Making Christingles

On Saturday 10th Dec, from 10am to 12 noon, we will be making Christingles in preparation for the Christingle Service the next day. If you can spare an hour or so to help, that would be greatly appreciated.
We will be in the Church Centre from 10:00. Do come and join us!

Snowman winner

The "Name the Snowman" competition at the Christmas Market was won by Mrs Joy Welch. The snowman's name is Sneeuwpop. We raised £25 from this competition. Many thanks to all who took part.

£3.50 a week – what will it get you?

For £3.50, you can buy a sandwich from Marks and Spencer's
For £3.50, you can buy a pint of beer
For £3.50, you can buy a tabloid newspaper each day in the week.
 
Not much really, is it?

Did you know that if everyone who comes to St Anne's gave an extra £3.50 a week to the church (and that this was also gift aided), we would effectively eliminate our current deficit and be able to balance the books, as well as ensuring that we can continue paying our parish share in full.
 
Can I urge you to consider making this relatively small step? If everyone at St Anne's did so, it would make a huge difference.
 
Also, if you currently give in cash via the envelope system, have you ever thought about giving directly to the church by monthly standing order? It is easy to set up and maintain and makes life a lot easier as well for the treasurer. Standing order forms are available at the back of the church.

Parish Christmas Cards

If you deliver the parish Christmas cards - many thanks in advance for your help. You will find a bundle with your name on it and the roads you deliver to marked on the bundle.
