Week commencing 10th July

Today’s Baptisms

We warmly welcome the families and friends of Jack and Isla Sylvester-Evans and Lily Rushbrook who are being baptised today.

Church Recording

The National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Society (NADFAS) is a body which does sterling work in recording details of our heritage, particularly our churches.

Over the last three years this exercise has been  carried out at St. Anne's by Carol Westcott and her team of ladies including Sue Caukwell.  There are another 252 churches throughout the country which are having their valuables catalogued and recorded.

This exercise is not just a stock-take since much historical research emerges in the process.  The church property is looked at under eight headings: i) memorials ii) stonework iii) metalwork iv) woodwork v) textiles vi) painting vii) library viii) windows + miscellaneous.

The result of this massive study of St. Anne's will be presented to the church by NADFAS at the 10am Communion Service on Sunday, 24th July (St. Anne's Day).  Other copies will be sent to national institutions. Please support this special occasion.

Volunteers needed

Visually Impaired of Surrey Heath provides a free social club, fortnightly for visually impaired residents of the borough.

We need more volunteers to help guide members from room to room and serving tea & biscuits. Sometimes letters need to be read or just having a chat one-to-one.

We meet in Camberley 1st & 3rd Thursday afternoons 2 till 4. If you could help on a monthly basis, that would be great - and on a fortnightly basis would be just brilliant. We also would like help with driving, but club help is a priority.

Please feel free to contact me on brenord@hotmail.com.
