Surfing to St Anne’s

If you have not recently done so, please take a look at the new St Anne's website (www.saintannebagshot.org.uk <http://www.saintannebagshot.org.uk> ).

We hope you'll find it an interesting read.  Abby is very keen to hear of suggestions of what you would like to see on it and glad to receive contributions.

Particularly, do look under the 'Day to Day' menu where you can check out our Diary page, where you will see details of the forthcoming services, social and other events in the church - right through into next year.  This is the definitive diary, so if it isn't there it might not be happening.

Also, each week's Notices will be posted on the Notices page so if you don't get to church one week, you can use it to find out what you missed!

Traidcraft is Back.

There is a new display cupboard in the Church Centre serving as a little Traidcraft shop.  It operates on an honesty box policy.

If you need to pick up some coffee, chocolate, greetings cards etc then please help yourself and pay for it in the cash jar.

Bigger, regular stalls will be arranged again soon.  In the meantime, if you want any items not in the cupboard do leave a message for Abby and she will try to order them.

Please think about joining the new  "Everybody Welcome" course, starting Wednesday 29th September at 8pm and running for 4 weeks.

“Just think what the impact would be if not 10 per cent but 25 per cent or even 50 per cent of the people who try out our church succeed in becoming regular congregation members!”
“Everybody Welcome” is a complete course to transform the church by improving our approach to newcomers. Believing that welcoming is a ministry for every member of the church, it offers guidance for the entire congregation and will help every individual to play their part in improving the integration of new arrivals. There are four sessions:

Discover – making the church more visible
The premises – making them more inviting
A welcoming God and his welcoming people
    Belonging to the church community

The course has been developed by Bob Jackson, Archdeacon of Walsall, a highly respected consultant on issues of church growth.
“Most churches think that they are friendly, but is mainly because we are friendly with one another. We may say 'All are welcome' but not realise how unwelcoming we appear to the outsider. 'Everybody Welcome' is about removing the barbed wire and making our welcome central to all we do and the people we are.”
I encourage as many people as possible to come to this course. Please sign up on the sheets at the back of church.    David

Additionally,   we are looking for a volunteer willing to help in the church office on Friday mornings.  Training will be given but computer skills, good telephone manner, willingness to learn and a cheerful outlook are essential.  Please see Lynne Cowley or the Vicar, to learn more.
